Teresa Carranza

Teresa Carranza was born October 15, 1921 in Calera, Guanajuato, Mexico to Calixto Guerrero and Cristina Maldonado. She passed away April 14, 2010 in La Habra, California.Teresa married Francisco Carranza in Los Angeles, California, and they enjoyed many years together prior to his death in 2003. Mrs. Carranza worked hard cleaning houses and would send the money to her children in Mexico. Later in life she helped raise her grandchildren which she enjoyed greatly.She was active at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where she was a Guadalupana. She enjoyed cooking, church, and prayer group. Teresa Carranza is survived by her children Jose L. Gamboa and Alma R. Keeler; her granchildren, Mayra Gamboa, Cipriano Gamboa, Rudy Guerrero, Iyana S. Rodriguez, Rober Keeler III, Robert Gamboa, Serenity, Anthony, Andrew, Naomi, Adrian, Jessica, Rose, Angel, and Little Jessica.Viewing will take place at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, on Thursday, April 22nd from 4-9 pm with a Vigil Prayer Service being led at 7 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 23rd at 9 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 900 W. La Habra Blvd., La Habra.
