Sylvia M. Miller

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sylvia Miller, age 83, on December 14, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sylvia was born in Whittier, California, and called La Mirada, California, home since 1978. She shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Michael Miller, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She raised three children; Ray Martinez of Sammamish WA, Lorraine Stern (deceased) of Whittier CA and Sandra Martinez of La Habra CA, who blessed her with nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

Sylvia worked tirelessly in the transportation industry for 30 years before retiring in 1996. In retirement, she embraced her passions for collecting antiques, shopping, and spending time with friends. Her warm personality and vibrant spirit were a gift to all who knew her.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose devotion to family and joy for life left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

A viewing service will be held at White Emerson Mortuary on January 30, 2025, between 5:00-8:00pm. A funeral service is scheduled for January 31, 2025, at 11:00am at Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead, California. A celebration of life will follow at The Garden Room in La Habra, California.
