Suzanne Ren Garry passed away in Whittier on April 3, 2016. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 30, 1959, Ren was born to her parents Harold & Roice (Files) Johnston. She was married to Robert James Garry on November 18, 1978 at the Silver Bells wedding chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and together they had three children Jason, Jimmy and Nichole. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
Ren grew up in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from Rincon High School in 1977. A year later she was married to Robert and went on to raise her children in southern California. Ren worked hard to provide for her family. She raised the kids in Fullerton, and was a teachers assistant for the local school district. Following her time in teaching, she worked as a wedding planner for Disneyland in Anaheim. And finally, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a flight attendant. What she put her mind to, she accomplished. In more recent years, she moved to Whittier and most recently worked at Dress Barn.
Rens life was epitomized by her love for her kids and grandkids. Nothing else rivaled her love for her familyeven the slot machines, which was one of her favorite activities in life.
Ren is survived by her children, Jason, Jimmy & Nichole; her two sisters, Sherry & Melanie; and her six grandchildren, Hudson, Charlotte, Bryce, Delilah, Anabella & Brenden who she loved very much.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at 10:30am at White Emerson Mortuary, Whittier. Her children wish to express gratitude for everyone who has supported them through this difficult time.
