Ruth Orozco

Ruth Orozco passed away on January 20, 2019 at the age of 93 in Pico Rivera, California. She was born to Jesus Mendias and Leysia Ebarria on October 21, 1925 in Los Angeles, California. Ruth attended Riggin Elementary School, Kern (later changed to Griffin) Jr. High and Garfield High School.

Ruth married Joe Orozco on January 6, 1963 at Our Lady of Solitude Church in Los Angeles, California. Together they later settled in Pico Rivera, California.

Ruth loved to work in the yard, cook for family and friends and watch educational shows on television. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and doing odd jobs until she was able to go to school and become a nurse. She was also a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church and prayed regularly.

She is survived by her son, Joseph (Petra) Orozco; grandchildren, Joseph (and girlfriend Toenet and her daughter Carmella), Gary (Kelly), Glen (Abigale); great grandchildren, Payton, Joseph; sisters, Ruth, Jennie and Mary.
