Ruby Carol Crain Alford

Ruby Carol Crain Alford was born February 5, 1946, in Pasadena, California, to James and Gertrude Crain. She passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014, in Whittier, California, at the age of 68.



Ruby grew up and went to school in California, graduating from Rosemead High School in Rosemead, California. Though she spent most of her adult years in Texas, she returned to her beloved California in 2013 and greatly enjoyed being back with her mother and siblings. She was a loving wife and a faithful servant of the Lord.



She is survived by her sons, Michael Alford (Larissa) and David Alford, both of Weatherford, Texas; grandson, Ron Sikes; mother, Gertrude Crain of South El Monte, California.; brothers, Arnold Crain of Garden Grove, California, and Larry Crain (Beverly) of Whittier, California; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Richard; her father; and her brother, James Eugene Crain.



A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the building fund at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 362, Alvarado, Texas 76009.
