Rosemary Eckenrode

Rosemary, 'Rosie', Eckenrode was born on August 29, 1929 to Salvadore and Joanna (Profetta) Pace, in Painesville, Ohio. Both of her parents were from Italy.'Rosie's' early years were spent in Painesville where she attended elementary schooling and graduated from high school.On September 23, 1950, 'Rosie' and Frank Eckenrode were married in Montebello, California.They lived in the same house for 62 years,which was built in 1950.She worked as a travel agent and also as an Avon respresentative for 48 years. 'Rosie' loved to travel, thus it became a hobby for her. She enjoyed going on cruises, trips to the casinos, bowling and most of all being with her family.She was a memeber of St. Hilary's Catholic Church, where the first masses were held in the school classrooms as the church was being built.'Rosie' is survived by her children; Thomas, Michael, Patricia and Jane, along with 11 grand children (8 girls and 3 boys) and one great grandchild, who is on the way.The Family requests that in lieu of flowers tha a donation be made to City of Hope. Donations will be appreciated as it 'Rosie's' favorite charity.Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Hilary Catholic Church5465 Citronell Ave.Pico Rivera, CA 90660
