Ronald Frederick Reiff

Ronald Frederick Reiff was born February 1, 1933, in Schenectady, New York, to Frederick and Josephine Reiff. He passed away July 30, 2013, in Covina, California.



Ron was spent his early years in New York, but moved to California with his family as a young boy. They settled in San Bernardino where Ron attended school and graduated high school.



At the age of 20, Ron joined the US Army and honorably served during the Korean Conflict. He later went on to college where he expanded his education. He spent a 41-year career in Auto Sales.



In 1972, Ron married Marian Joyce Gibson in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ron brought a son, Ronald, Jr., to their marriage, and Marian brought a daughter, Glenda, and a son, Larry. They made their home in Covina, where he lived until the time of his death.



Ron was a very giving and loving man who never met a stranger. He was frequently out and about doing good, including taking oranges to orphanages. He loved his grandchildren dearly. Ron's free time was spent golfing, watching football, or going to the horse races at Santa Anita Race Track.



Mr. Reiff is survived by his step-daughter, Glenda Swisher; step-son, Larry Winter; grandchildren, Shannon, Stephanie and Kim; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, and his son Ronald, Jr.



Ron will be interred with his wife at Riverside National Cemetery.
