Rogelio Diaz

Rogelio Diaz was born September 12, 1951 in Mexico to Jose and Celia (Banuelos) Diaz. He passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 in Whittier, California.Rogelio grew up and attended school in Mexico, moving to the United States in 1970. On July 22, 1975, Rogelio married Elvia Huerta in Los Angeles, California. They remained in LA County, eventually moving to Whittier in 2006. Together they raised four children.Mr. Diaz worked many years as a shipping clerk in the aerospace industry. He loved music, including singing, playing his guitar, dancing, and listening to music. He also enjoyed watching tv.Rogelio was always very helpful to his family and protective. He was reliable and devoted to them and always there. He will be remembered as a man of strong character.He is survived by his wife, Elvia; daughters, Irma and Braulio; sons, Ruben and Roger; and five grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Thursday evening, July 7, 2011 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier.
