Robert Conrad Skip McDaniel was born March 25, 1948 in Los Angeles to Robert and Rusty McDaniel. Skip lived his entire life in the Whittier area, attending Christian Sorenson Elementary School, Dexter Middle School and Whittier High School.



Skip worked at Southern California Edison for 40 years, rising up the company ladder from Groundman to Major Account Executive at retirement. In his free time, Skip enjoyed coaching Whittier City & Little League baseball, and AYSO, WAYS soccer. He also coached Whittier College Mens Soccer and Lacrosse. A die-hard Angels baseball and UCLA Bruins fan, he loved playing golf with his son Sean and many friends.



In 1966, Skip married Sandy Griggs in Las Vegas. Together they enjoyed 50 years of marriage. To their marriage was born their son, Sean. In recent years, Skip and Sandy enjoyed spending time at their retirement condo in Laughlin, Nevada.



Skip is survived by his wife Sandy, son Sean, daughter-in-law Lisa, three beautiful granddaughters Holli, Taylor and Ashley, and one brother, Don McDaniel.



Skip leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, and will be remembered fondly in the hearts of many.
