Robert "Bobby" Ramos was born on January 8, 1938, in Globe, Arizona. He passed away peacefully on August 9, 2021.
While still a child, Robert moved to East Los Angeles. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1956 and joined the United States Air Force in 1958 where he served as an Air Policeman. Robert honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1962 holding the rank of Airman First Class.
Robert married the love of his life, Gloria "Glory" Moisa, on June 18, 1960, while still enlisted in the Air Force. They were married at St. Mariana Catholic Church in Pico Rivera.
Robert and Gloria settled in Whittier, California in 1971, where they have lived ever since. Robert and Gloria raised three children in their home. Robert worked hard to support his family being employed by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. He retired in 2002 as a Foreman after 38 years of public service.
Robert "Bobby" Ramos was a dedicated and beloved family man above all else. He loved camping, fishing, eating his favorite foods, watching the Los Angeles Dodgers and UCLA Bruin Football Team. He loved even more that he could share in all these activities with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria; Children, Renee Balassa, Michelle Reidy, and Kevin Ramos; Grandchildren, Daniel Cramer, Nicole Cramer, Kevin Ramos Jr., Victoria Ramos, Shelby Balassa, Isaiah Ramos, and Gabrielle Balassa; Great-Grandchild, Asher Prian
SERVICES:
Memorial Service to be held at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia Street, Whittier, Ca, 90601 on Monday, August 23, 2021, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Repast to be held immediately after at The Mission Square Restaurant, 13033 Penn Street, #100, Whittier, CA 90602.
