Rene Ezequiel Marquez

Rene Ezequiel Marquez, Jr., 53, passed away on April 30, 2019, in Beverly Hills, California, following a lengthy illness.

Born May 15, 1965, in Los Angeles, California, Rene grew up in Artesia and Azusa, California. He attended Faye Ross Middle School and Gahr High School.

On January 16, 2001, Rene married his sweetheart, Jeanneth Cardona, in Norwalk, California. They enjoyed many wonderful years together, and Jeanneth was always by his side during his illness.

Rene enjoyed fishing, reading, camping, cooking, and footballDallas Cowboys, of course! Above all else, however, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren so much, and they loved him!

Rene is survived by his wife, Jeanneth; children, Vanessa Fuentes, Priscilla Cardona, Stephanie Marquez, Madalin Marquez, Rene E. Marquez III, and Amber Marquez; mother, Kathleen Guerrero; sisters, Tracy Williams and Laura Diaz; and four grandchildren, Robert, Nathan, Luke and Tai.

Viewing will take place from 5-7pm on Friday, May 17, 2019, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. A Vigil Service will immediately follow at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated at 10am the next morning at St. Gregory the Great Church, 13935 Telegraph Road, Whittier, California. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead, California.
