Phyllis Lorraine Freeland

July 31, 1936 — April 15, 2018

Phyllis Lorraine Freeland was born on July 31, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Lumir and Lillian (Emanuel) Skvor. She was raised in Cedar Rapids, moved to California in 1952 and married Carroll Lee Freeland on May 2,1955.

The couple lived in several communities around Los Angeles and Orange counties before settling in La Habra in 1966. Phyllis enjoyed reading, watching movies, dining out and spending time with family, friends and neighbors. She was also involved at the La Habra Community Center.

On April 15, 2018 Phyllis passed away at the age of 81 in Orange, California. She is survived by her son Jeff, daughter-in-law Rene', granddaughter Juliane Caroline and sisters, Carol Lawrence and Les Sarizen.

There will be a public visitation on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 6:00pm followed by a Vigil service at 7:00pm at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier, California. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in La Habra, California.
