Patrick James Owen passed away on January 24, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Born August 14, 1969, Patrick lived his entire life in Hacienda Heights, California, and was proud to be part of the local community. Growing up he enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and family trips to the Colorado River. He played many sports during his youth including soccer, baseball, and basketball and was proud to have been part of the 1986 CIF Championship football team at Los Altos High School. That passion for sports carried over to his adulthood where, as an avid sports fan, he was always cheering on his favorite teams. His love of the Raiders, Green Bay Packers, Angels, and LA Kings was known by all. Personally, he played golf whenever he could and enjoyed coaching his sons little league baseball teams. His love for golf is viewed through his collection of golf balls from each course. After a long day of golf, he always craved Worlds Best Pizza.
Pat and Annette were married in 1992 and had two children. They were lucky to raise them close to family. They created many happy family memories on trips to Lake Havasu and travelling for both kids soccer tournaments. He loved watching repeats of Seinfeld, CSI, Law and Order SVU, and Two and a Half Men. He also enjoyed watching the Walking Dead, National Lampoons Vacation, Caddyshack, Field of Dreams, Tin Cup, Happy Gilmore, Jaws, anything Clint Eastwood, and live sporting events. Patrick not so secretly dreamed of being on the Price is Right because he was certain hed win the Showcase Showdown. His blasting of music that announced he was almost home is a trait that will be missed. From Van Halen to Eminem, N.W.A, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Metallica, 2Pac, Run-D.M.C., you always knew it was him. Pat never failed on listening to Howard Stern every morning and afternoon even if it was a rerun.
He was fortunate to work 30 years in the family construction business and developed many lasting friendships. He liked to meet friends for a round of golf, a drink, or the chance to bet on anything from a game to the horses. He was not always the luckiest gambler but he never stopped trying.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 26 years, Annette; son,Tanner; daughter, Sydney; parents, Del and Vickie Owen; grandmother, Millie; in-laws, Peter and Dodie Bonilla; sister, Crystal; nieces and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and Godchildren.
Patrick will truly be missed.
