Pamela Sue Squier

July 21, 1954 — February 28, 2014

Pamela Sue Squier was born July 21, 1954, in Lynwood, California, to Eddie and Shirley (King) Newberry. She passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, in La Mirada, California, at the age of 59.

Pam grew up and went to school in Los Angeles County, graduating from Paramount High School in Paramount, California. She later continued her education at Long Beach City College where she received her AA Degree.

In May of 1977 she met the love of her life, Daniel Lawrence Squier. They were married on October 29th of that same year in Downey, California. They initially made their home in Bellflower, but also lived in Big Bear Lake and La Habra, California before returning to and settling in La Mirada.

Pam loved life, and she especially loved her family. She was extremely open and personable and had a natural gift of giving good counsel. Others would attach to her easily and turn to her often for advice. Pam was a devout Christian. She served as a teacher at Calvary Chapel Downey for several years before moving to Big Bear. She and Dan later began attending Morningstar Christian Chapel in Whittier, California after moving back to the area from the mountains.

A very artistic and creative person, Pam did amazing things with all sorts of mixed media. She had a special knack for making jewelry and painting, but in no way was she limited to those forms of art! Pam was also a wonderful decorator, and she enjoyed setting up for events. When not spending time with her family or creating something unique and special, Pam also enjoyed golfing, bowling and gourmet cooking.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dan; son, Josh; mother, Shirley & brothers, Ron and Todd Cox. She was preceded in death in July of 2011 by her dear daughter, Kimberly.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
