Oswaldo Rupert Melendez was born on June 1, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas, to Lorenzo and Gavina (Barron) Melendez.

He entered his eternal home on September 27, 2015, in Pico Rivera, California, at the age of 79.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015, 5-8pm, at White Emerson Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be said at 7pm, also on Monday evening.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, 9am, at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 5465 S. Citronelle Ave., Pico Rivera, California, 90660. Church phone: 562-942-7300.

Interment will follow the Mass at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California.
