Olivia Savala

Olivia (Sanchez) Savala was born September 28, 1927, in Coleman, Texas, to Presiliano and Juanita Sanchez. She passed away March 21, 2016, in Lakewood, California, at the age of 88.



Olivia loved to garden. When the garden bloomed, it was like a beautiful rainbow that God shared with all through her hard work. She enjoyed listening to country music--after all, she was a TRUE TEXAN! Above all, Olivia loved the Lord and her family with all her heart and soul. She will be missed, but never forgotten!



Olivia is survived by her children, Roseann (Salvador) Gutierrez, Samuel Savala, and Robert Savala; siblings, Albert Sanchez, Esther Perez, Pat Pykosz, and Angie Sanchez; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Sanchez.



Viewing will take place from 5-7pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California 90601. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7pm. Interment will take place at 10am the following morning, Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Little Lake Cemetery, 11959 Lakeland Road, Santa Fe Springs, California 90670.
