Olivia Collazo-Najar

Olivia Collazo-Najar of Whittier, California, died suddenly on Friday July 2, 2010 after complications with an internal infection.Olivia was born in Calexico, California on September 14, 1944, to Ernesto and Margarita Collazo. She retired from the Department of Public Social Services in April of 2007. She enjoyed life's simplicities, such as: watching her novelas at night, catching up with her friends on the phone, and tending to her grandkids throughout the day. There was no limit to the things she would do for her family and friends. Her sunny presence was always known, and it will forever be missed. Olivia was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Fidel; daughters, Lynette and Olivia and Olivia's husband Brian; her grandkids, Ashley, Apryl, Allyson, and Bryan; her mother, Margarita Collazo; sister, Angelica; brother, Ernesto; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. The viewing will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 4:00-7:00pm with a Rosary following from 7:00-8:00pm. The final Prayer Service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, July 10, 2010. Both events will be held at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, CA 90601.
