Nancy Abbott

Nancy Ann Therese Abbott was born to Ivan and Anna Mann In Chicago, Illinois on January 10, 1925.She passed away on August 26, 2012 at her home in La Mirada, California.Nancy graduated with a baccalaureate degree in nursing from St. Xavier College for women in Chicago.She was married to Harry F. Abbot in 1952 and they moved to Whittier, California, in 1955. Together they raised 6 chilldren: MaryAnn, Steve, Laura, John, Peggy and Eileen.Nancy enjoyed family gatherings, travel, theater, reading, church activitites, bridge and adventures of any kind.She was a founding member of St. Bruno Church and participated in many ministries for over 50 years.She was a kind and generous person and a friend to many.Nancy is survived by her 6 children, their spouses, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.If you wish to make a donation in Nancy's honor, please contribute to your favorite charity.A vigil will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012, at 6pm in the chapel of White Emerson Mortuary,13304 E Philadelphia Street, Whittier, CA. 90601,562-698-0304A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 9:30am at St. Bruno's Catholic Church, 15740 Citrustree Road, Whittier, California, 90603. 562-947-5637.Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Rowland Heights, California.
