Muriel I. Young

Muriel Irene Cederstrom Young was born on February 17, 1933 to Fred and Eleanor Cederstrom in Salt Lake City Utah. She was the youngest of three children, preceded in death by her parents, her brother Fred and her sister Barbara.

When she was about three years old, the family moved to East Los Angeles, California. At about eight years old, the family moved to Montebello California where she met her future husband, Joseph Sherwood Young. They were married in the Manti temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints on June 23, 1954. They celebrated 65 years together just two weeks ago.

They moved to Whittier, California in 1958. They had three children, Susan, Stacey and David.

Muriel passed away on July 4, 2019 in Whittier, California. She is survived by her loving husband, Sherwood, her 3 children, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A grandson, Jason preceded her in death.

Interment will be at Rose Hills in Whittier, California.
