Mrs. Rachel Vermont

Rachel Vermont was born on October 13, 1929 in Bell, California, to Rodolfo and Bertha (Reyes) Mercado.. She passed away on October 16, 2012 at the age of 83.



She married Renne L. Vermont on September 14, 1952. Renne passed away on July 14, 2006.

Rachel worked as a teacher's aide and taught English as a second language in Adult Education.

She retired on June 30, 1995 from the Montebello School District.



Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at White Emerson Mortuary from 9-10am.



A funeral service will follow on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, 13222 Baily Street, Whittier, California 90601, at 11 am.



Burial will take place on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:15am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, California 92518.



Rachel is survived by her sons; Robert Dennis Vermont, Loren Richard Vermont, Paul Travis Vermont; sister, Rebeca Morales; grandchildren, Bradley and Holly; nieces, Esther Martin and Yolanda Villarreal, along with many friends.
