Mrs. Maria Socorro Valenzuela

Maria Socorro Valenzuela, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Lynwood, California on April 6, 2015 surrounded by her family. Born on October 15, 1944 in San Simon, Michoacan, Maria was born to her parents Ignacio & Consuelo (Salceda) Gallegos. In October 1962, Maria was married to Antonio Valenzuela in Ixtlan, Michoacan and together they celebrated 52 years of marriage.



Among many things, Maria enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a dedicated parishioner for many years at her home church, St. Philip Neri, in Lynwood, California. However, the greatest legacy that she leaves behind is the family that she faithfully cared for.



Maria is survived by her husband, Antonio; children, Maria, Alicia, Susana, Monika, Eric grandchildren, Luis, Jasmin, Bibiana, Daniel, Nicholas, Anaisa, Lauren, Sebastian, Jonathan, Elliana, Uriah, Natalia; and many loving friends. She will be dearly missed.



A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00AM at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. A Viewing will take place on Wednesday evening, April 15, 2015 from 5:00PM 8:00PM at the mortuary. Interment will take place immediately after the funeral at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California.
