Tommy Arraiga, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 8th, 2014 in La Mirada, California. Born in San Bernardino, California on September 22, 1932, Tommy was the son of Jesus & Clotilde (Rodriguez) Arraiga. He was married to Carmen Moreno in Yuma, Arizona on October 30th, 1954. Together with Carmen they were the proud parents of 6 children.
Tommy grew up in southern California, moving from San Bernardino at an early age to Los Angeles. As a young man, he joined the Army and was a Korean War Veteran, and was a Purple Heart Recipient for his service in the military. He was a skilled mechanic, specializing in electrical components, and worked for General Motors for over 30 years. He and his wife, Carmen, moved to La Mirada where they were parishioners at Beatitudes of Our Lord Catholic Church for many years.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carmen; his children, Tommy, Jesse, Frank, Teresa, Liz & Daniel; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and two sisters, Christina & Isabelle. His family will miss him deeply.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2014 at 8:30AM at Beatitudes of Our Lord Catholic Church, 13013 Santa Gertrudes Ave, La Mirada, California. A Graveside Service will follow the Mass at 11:30AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, California.
