Mr. Steve Zaragoza

Steve Zaragoza, 57, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in Whittier, California. Born in Torrance, California on April 24, 1955, Steve was born to Manuel & Antonia (Diaz) Zaragoza. He was married in 1973 to Leticia Marquez in Los Angeles, California.



In his early years, Steve grew up in Pico Rivera, California. He attended Our Lady of Soledad Catholic School in East Los Angeles, Durfee Elementary in El Monte, North Park Middle School in Pico Rivera, El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, and finally Ruben Salazar Continuation School in Pico Rivera. He became self-employed from a young age working in his familys metal lamp fabrication business.



In 1983, Steve gave his life to the Lord and became actively involved with childrens ministry at his church. Victory Outreach Church was his church home, first attending the Pico Rivera Congregation before becoming involved at the campus in Chino. Steves last church service that he attended was at Victory Outreach in Whittier.



Among his many interests, Steve was a devoted USC Football fan.



Steve is survived by his wife, Leticia Zaragoza; 2 daughters, Darlene & Rachel; 3 granddaughters, Madison, Khala, and Kiara; 1 grandson, Matthias; and 3 siblings, Rita, David and Diane.



A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon, October 17, 2012 at 4:00PM at the First Friends Church, Whittier, 13205 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California, 90601. A viewing will be held immediately prior to the service from 2:00PM 4:00PM the same day.
