James Nowinski was born on May 27, 1937 in Hamtramck, Michigan, to Edward and Irene (Chonzindski) Nowinski. He passed way on December 9, 2012, at the age of 75.
James lived in Detroit until the age of 6 when the family move to Tuscon, Arizona.
He completed his education there and graduated from the University of Arizona.
He played two years as a center fielder and on the footbll team at the Univeristy of Michigan
James and Judy were married on April 22, 1961 with their marriage blessed by Pope John Paul .
After their honeymoon, they moved to California, where James took a position with the Union Oil Company.
Pope Benedict blessed them on their 50 wedding anniversary.
James loved to work in his garden where he raised roses and other flowers.
He had a very charismatic personality and was loved by all who knew him.
He was a member of the University of Arizona AA club as well as a member of the Petroleum Club and a member of the Elks Club.
James is survived by his son, Jeffrey; daughters, Janel and Jamie, 3 grandchildren a sister, Barbara Devershian.
A rosary will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 7pm at White Emerson Mortuary Chapel,
13304 E Philadelphia Street, Whittier, California, 90603.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tueday, December 18, 2012, at 10am, at St. Gregory the Great Church,13955 Telegraph Road, Whittier, California, 90604.
Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 S Fullerton Road, Rowland Heights, California, 91748
