Mr. Ignacio "Nacho" D. Jimenez

Ignacio Nacho like the cheese Davis Jimenez, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Montebello, California. Born on July 31, 1934, Nacho was born in Trona, California to Narcizo & Maria (Davis) Jimenez. Nacho was married to Flora Pujol on May 21, 1960 at the Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Los Angeles, California. Together with Flora, they had three children, Gil, Leticia & Paul.



At a young age, Nachos family brought him from central California to East Los Angeles. He attended Belvedere Middle School, Garfield High School, and East Los Angeles Community College. As a young man, Nacho served in the United States Army, serving in Germany. After he returned from his service, he went to work for Northrop, being trained by the company in Engineering Technology.



Nacho had many interests in life, but his absolute favorite had to have been golfing. His family always knew they could find him on the golf course on Wednesdays.



Nacho is survived by his wife, Flora Jimenez; his children, Gil Jimenez & Leticia Jimenez; his sister, Maria Nestora; his brother Manuel D. Jimenez; and 3 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Paul Jimenez and his two brothers, Narcizo D. Jimenez, Jr., and Frank G. Jimenez.



A memorial mass will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:15AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 7218 Pickering Ave., Whittier, CA 90602.
