Mireya Norma Toruno

Mireya Norma Toruño, “Nana” passed away on October 03, 2024, in Whittier, California. Nana was born on April 10, 1931, in Managua, Nicaragua and was a long-time resident of Whittier, California. 

In Nicaragua, she was a modiste and a pastry chef for approximately 35 years. Nana loved to read, dance, shop, and decorate her home for each holiday.

Nana is survived by daughter, Xochitl and son, Adler. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Thomas. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nana loved her family fiercely and deeply. 

We take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace surrounded by light.
