Michael Trifunovich

Micheal Trifunovich was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 14, 1957, and passed away on August 30, 2024. Michael is survived by his wife Patricia Trifunovich whom he was married to for 35 years, and his two children, Milena Trifunovich with Patricia, and Josh Trifunovic with his first wife Suzanne Matheson. The cause of death was glioblastoma brain cancer, diagnosed in December 2023. Michael was the son of an Air Force veteran and grew up in Europe, England, and Norway, and then Frankfurt Germany before being offered scholarships for baseball and soccer in at UCLA, where he graduated as a soccer player. He went on to play professional soccer, and he became a successful luxury home architect. He was that rare combination intelligence, athleticism, and gregarious personality that drew people to him. He was also incredibly handsome inside and out. To know Micheal was to laugh with him, have a drink with him, watch a game with him, or someone to have an in-depth conversation about any topic of choice. He will be remembered as the tall handsome guy with a full head of long, blonde hair that became his trademark. Michael was “the dude”, and his dearest friends nicknamed him “Tuna” which remained his affectionate moniker all his life. His passing is with great sorrow by his friends and family, and he will be missed by everyone.
