Maxine Beck

Maxine Eliason Beck was born on a snowy day in Payson, Utah, on February 16, 1949, to Max Vivian Eliason and Marjorie Howe Eliason.

Maxine was reared in Anaheim, California. She attended Anaheim High School and Brigham Young University, graduating with a degree in Home Economics. After graduation, she taught Home Economics at Murray High School for several years and served as chairman of the department. Maxine married Kenneth Eugene Beck in the Provo Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 26, 1974.

Maxine was a devoted mother, avid reader, and talented cook and seamstress. She enjoyed sending letters or cards to all her loved ones. She is remembered by many for her hearty laugh, sense of humor, as well as her kindness and understanding.
Maxine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. She never wavered in her testimony and faith in God and Jesus Christ. During her lengthy illness, she was very courageous, accepting the will of the Lord. Maxine passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023, in her home in Yorba Linda, California.

Maxine is preceded in death by her father, Max Vivian Eliason, mother, Marjorie Howe Eliason, and brother, Gordon Howe Eliason. Maxine is survived by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Beck; sister, Mildred Kunz (Dwight) of Anaheim, CA, brother, Carvel Howe Eliason (Meredith) of Orem, UT, sister, Eileen Hansen (Kim) of Rogers, AR, sister, Cheryl Kenworthy (Allan) of Sherman, TX, sister-in-law, Johanna Eliason, of Saratoga Springs, UT, and brother, Bruce Howe Eliason (Rocann) of Draper, UT.
Maxine is also survived by her six children: Jerrold Eliason Beck (Tracy) of Lancaster, PA; Michelle Beck Gibson (Nathan) of Beaumont, CA; Kevin Eliason Beck (Megan) of Fullerton, CA, Elaine Beck Price, Roseville, CA, Dallin Vance Beck, Yorba Linda, CA, and Arlen Eliason Beck (Judith), Yorba Linda, CA.
Maxine and Ken have 15 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on April 14, 2023, at Loma Vista Memorial Park, Fullerton, CA.

Arrangements are being handled by White Emerson Mortuary, Whittier, CA.
