Mary Ellen Spencer

Mary Ellen Spencer, fondly known as Mary Ellen, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2024 in Fullerton, California. She was born on July 11, 1936, in Alhambra California to DeWitt Todd and Velma Miller.

Mary Ellen's journey through life was marked by love and cherished memories. She entered into matrimony with Dan Spencer at the Church of the Lighted Window in La Cañada, California on April 14, 1957. Their union was a testament to enduring love and shared companionship.

Education played a significant role in Mary Ellen's life. She attended elementary and high school in Alhambra, California, before graduating from Whittier College in 1957. Her dedication to learning paved the way for a fulfilling life filled with knowledge and wisdom.

Known for her deep appreciation of America and her role as a devoted wife, and mother, Mary Ellen touched the hearts of all who knew her, from teaching young minds as an elementary school teacher to the many friends made along the way.

Mary Ellen is survived by her son Todd and Spencer, as well as her grandchildren Brittany, Ashley, Lauren, and Ryan. In their time of loss, may they find solace in the beautiful memories shared with Mary Ellen.

Mary Ellen and her family attended several churches in their lifetime including, The World-Wide Church of God in Pasadena, CA, and the Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton, CA.

The services to honor and celebrate Mary Ellen's life will be held at the White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier on August 20, 2024. The funeral service will commence at 10:00 AM followed by the graveside service at Rose Hills Memorial Park at 1:00 PM.
