Mary Helen Madsen was born to Ernest & Ruth (Parra) Gallegos in Los Angeles, CA on April 24, 1935. While growing up in Los Angeles, Mary attended Roosevelt High School. On January 29, 1954 she married Richard Clyde Madsen in East Los Angeles.Throughout her life in southern California, she was involved in social services & retail sales. She loved singing (she once appeared on Channel 34 as a solo-singer), knitting, crocheting, fishing, spending time with her family and baking oatmeal cookies for her grandchildren. Mary was previously involved at St. Alfonsus Catholic Church in East Los Angeles before becoming a 'born-again' Christian and attending Downey Calvary Chapel.She is survived by her son, Ron Madsen (Maria); her daughter, Susan (Gary); her three brothers, Robert, Richard five grandchildren, Cassandra, Francine, Jacob, Michelle, Vanessa; and four great-grandchildren, Catherine, Helen, Nolan & Connor.
