Maria Hernandez

Maria Lana Hernandez passed away on October 29, 2014, in Fullerton, California, at the age of 69.



Born as Maria Elena Reyes to Ramona and Manuel Reyes in Los Angeles, California, on March 26th, 1945. Maria lived, grew up and attended schools in Los Angeles and Orange County, California.



In 1968, Maria moved to Orange County, California with her three daughters. For 27 years, she operated machinery that produced paper school products. In 1973, Maria married Simon Hernandez, who had a son, Rico. During this time, Maria and Simon lived in Buena Park and Fullerton.



Maria lived a full life. She traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. She loved oldies music, Facebook, fishing at Gaviota, visiting Palm Springs and Las Vegas, sitting and watching the birds in her backyard, and, of course, loved playing Keno. She was well known for her traditional homemade tamales at Christmas time and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.



On October 29, 2014, Maria passed away in Fullerton, California. She is survived by her four children: Linda Arbogast, Rosalie Llamas, Christina (Richard) Rios and Rico (Tracey) Hernandez; 14 grandchildren: Stephanie, KC, and Veronica Arbogast; Krystal, Raymond and Tony Llamas; Rebecca (Daniel) Rodriguez, Michelle (Isaac) Gonzalez, Samantha, Yolanda and Ricky Rios; Janae (Kellan) Pattison, Ricky (Krystal) Hernandez, and Leah Hernandez; 13 great grandchildren: Camryn Arbogast; Alex, Dominick and Marissa Rodriguez; Elizabeth and Isabella Gonzalez; Adriana, Frankie, Kayne, and Dillon Pattison, Jessica, Jacob and Lucas Hernandez, her two sisters: Linda (Peter) Mondragon and Louise Georskey-Reyna (Martin); nephew: Manuel (Cassie) Mondragon and nieces: Alicia Georskey-Reyna and Tiffany Georskey.
