Marcia Elaine Chartier

Marcia Elaine Chartier was born August 26, 1943 in Yuba City, California to Willard R. & Betty Jane ONeill. Marcia spent most of her time growing up in and around the Whittier and Brea, California areas although her third grade year was spent quiet differently living in Iowa.

On April 14, 1962 Marcia began her life as wife and homemaker when she married Barry Lee Chartier. Together they settled in Whittier and had three children. It was very evident that an active Spiritual life was most important to Marcia. Over the years she and Barry have been active members and participants in several church families including Whittier Area Community Church, Granada Heights Friends Church and Calvary Baptist Church and she became a dedicated Bible Study Leader. In addition to her dedication to the Lord, Marcia enjoyed Journaling and note writing, spending time with family and friends, playing games and taking walks with Barry.

Marcia, Mom, Grandma, Homemaker & Wife, Dedicated Friend & Prayer Warrior went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2013 one day following her 51st Anniversary. She is survived by her loving husband Barry Lee Chartier, Children; Jeff, Brian and Erin, 4 Grandchildren; Lee, Camille, Kyle & Cameron. 2 Daughters-in-law; Laura & Leslie and brother Leonard.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10 AM at Whittier Area Community Church 8100 Colima Rd. Whittier, CA 90605. In lieu of Flowers please donate to: National Fragile X Foundation, 1615 Bonanza St. Ste. 202 Walnut Creek, CA 94596-4530 In honor of Marcia Chartier.
