Lyle Kieth Bidler was born in Jasper County Iowa on July 11, 1936 to Alma Perin and Louis Bidler. Lyle passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 in Los Angeles, California.
Lyle was the oldest child of 4, to which were all boys. His brothers are Lloyd, Carroll, and Jerry. Lyle went to school in a one room schoolhouse and later moved to Ankeny, Iowa where he then grew up at. In high school Lyle joined band where he played the clarinet. After high school he had decided to bravely join the Navy in 1954, at the age of 18 years old.
Lyle met Rose Marie in 1956 in California on a blind date. While in the Navy he would hitchhike from base in Long Beach, to Monterey Park to see her. Lyle later purposed to Rose Marie and got married on June 6, 1959. Lyle and Rose Marie had two children, Lyle and Linda.
After the Navy, Lyle worked for Hughes Aircraft. He twice had the opportunity to travel to Ethiopia for the company. Lyle was involved in the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts as an adult. He was Scout Master and Committee Chairman in the Boy Scouts.
Lyle went to college at East L.A. college, Rio Hondo College, and received his A.A. Degree at Fullerton College. Having years of experience at Hughes Aircraft, the company recognized him as an engineer, even though he did not have a B.A. Degree.
Lyle taught at a Fullerton school for teenage girl who were pregnant and had babies, through a program called TAPP - Teenage Parenting Program. He taught computer, reading, and other subject matters.
He was a parishioner of St. Bruno's in Whittier for nearly 50 years. Lyle was a lector for around 10 years.
Lyle was married for 62 years before he left this world.
Lyle loved and was loved by his family and friends. He loved all five of his grandchildren and both of his great-grandchildren.
