Luis Aguirre was born February 7, 1949, in Inde, Durango, Mexico, to Luis Aguirre and Marcelina Gandarilla. He passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Riverside, California, following a horse-related accident.

Luis grew up and went to school in Mexico, immigrating to the United States at the age of 17. After a few years working in a restaurant, he began a life-long career in construction, specializing in dry-wall.

Family always came first for Luis. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who adored his wife, Rita (Gradillas), and loved his daughter and grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed spending time with them more than anything else.

A very outgoing and social person, Luis made friends everywhere he went. He genuinely cared about people and lifted their spirits with his infectious smile and gregarious personality. Luis loved cars and all animals, but especially his horses. He enjoyed riding them daily.

Luis leaves behind his dear wife, Rita; daughter, Monica (Luis) Lopez; grandchildren, Viviana and Luis Enrique; siblings, Rafael, Alberto, Maria, Nicolas, Francisco, Gumercindo, and Benjamin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Vigil will be held at 7pm on Monday, October 21, 2019, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7215 Newlin Ave., Whittier, California. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am the next morning, Tuesday, October 22nd, also at St. Marys. Interment will follow at 12noon at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 E. Santiago Canyon Road, Orange, California.

Luis Aguirre naci el 7 de febrero de 1949 en Inde, Durango, Mxico, de Luis Aguirre y Marcelina Gandarilla. Falleci el sbado 12 de octubre de 2019 en Riverside, California, despues de un accidente con un caballo.

Luis creci y fue a la escuela en Mxico, y emigr a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 17 aos. Despus de unos aos trabajando en un restaurante, comenz una carrera en la construccin, especializndose en paneles de yeso.

Su familia siempre era lo ms importante para Luis. Era un devoto esposo, padre y abuelo que adoraba a su esposa, Rita (Gradillas), y amaba mucho a su hija y nietos. Le gustaba pasar tiempo con ellos ms que cualquier otra cosa.

Una persona muy sociable, Luis hizo amigos en todas partes. Se preocupaba genuinamente por las personas y les levantaba el nimo con su sonrisa contagiosa y su personalidad gregaria. A Luis le encantaban los autos y todos los animales, pero especialmente a sus caballos. Le gustaba montarlos diario.

Los sobrivivientes de Luis son su querida esposa, Rita; hija, Mnica, y su esposo Luis, Lpez; nietos, Viviana y Luis Enrique; hermanos, Rafael, Alberto, Mara, Nicols, Francisco, Gumercindo y Benjamn; y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. Una vigilia se llevar a cabo a las 7pm el lunes 21 de octubre de 2019, en la Iglesia de St. Mary of the Assumption, 7215 Newlin Ave., Whittier, California. La misa se celebrar a las 9:30 am de la maana siguiente, martes 22 de octubre, tambin en la iglesia St. Marys. Seguir el sepelio a las 12 del medioda en el Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 E. Santiago Canyon Road, Orange, California.
