Lucie Borunda

Lucie Borunda was born on April 22, 1950 in Los Angeles, California to her parents: Jess and Esther (Romo) Martinez. As a young girl, she lived in Lakewood, California with her family; and proudly graduated from Artesia High School - home of the Pioneers.



On June 19, 1972; in a love-filled ceremony, Lucie married Albert Borunda in the City of Los Angeles, and moved to the city of Whittier where the couple raised their beautiful family of three children together: Albert R., Cindy J., and Vanessa A. Borunda. With Albert by her side, they lived, loved, and laughed in Whittier for 34 years, and it was there that they raised and supported their three kids during ALL of their various activities; including the Whittier Redskins for seven years, Lambert Little League, and many St. Paul High School events.



Aside from time spent with her family - Lucie loved traveling. Her favorite spots were the city of Ventura, Big Sur, and Solvang...all places that included her other love: flowers. In fact, she loved them so much, that she saw them as an extra-ordinary treat! Lucie really enjoyed getting flowers delivered to the office, whether it was from her daughter, from her family, or from husband - she loved receiving flowers!



On Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 9:18AM - Lucie went home to be with the Lord. She leaves behind her devoted husband of over 40 years - Albert Borunda, her son Albert R., her daughter Cindy J. and her fianc, her daughter Vanessa A., her grandson Sean A., and her two beautiful dogs Lily and Gizmo - all of whom treasured her, loved her unconditionally, and will miss her dearly.



The memorial service will be held at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier, California on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 5:30PM. There will be a reception following the service at the mortuary until 8:00PM.
