Dr. Linda Ellen Yniguez Ph.D.
October 4, 1960 – March 18, 2024The beloved, Dr. Linda Ellen Yniguez passed away on March 18, 2024, at her home in Whittier, CA. She was born on October 4, 1960 in Whittier, CA.
Dr. Yniguez was a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and maintained a private practice in Whittier for over 28 years.
With nearly three decades of experience as a Licensed Psychologist and as a graduate of The California School of Professional Psychology - Los Angeles, Linda held a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at PIH/USC School of Medicine and had considerable training and expertise in the areas of Clinical Psychology, Energy Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and NeuroAcoustic Sound Therapy and Brainwave Entrainment. Dr. Yniguez holds diplomate status with the American Board of Psychological Specialties in Psychotherapy and her private practice accepted and worked with a wide range of clients, from Adolescents to Older Adults. In addition, due to her ongoing dedication to research, Dr. Yniguez was recently published in The American Journal of Biomedical Science and Research.
Having been trained by some of the most noted Alternative Practitioners to date such as Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, Donna Eden, Francine Shapiro PhD and Dr. John Thie D.C, Dr. Yniguez integrated complementary methodologies and techniques that offered a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, Linda worked with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they committed to accomplishing. She loved her private practice and the patients that came along with it. Her dedication to her patients went above and beyond all expectations.
Her expertise extended far beyond Psychology and interactive medicine. Linda was President and Chief Executive Officer of the independent record label, Booboo Records in which she achieved a Billboard Charted single. Linda also produced and directed music videos for her recording artists. She brought her expertise to The Voiceamerica Network, where she worked as a radio talk show host for adrenalineradio.com and FM Talk Radio 97.4 in Los Angeles.
Linda was an avid traveler and enjoyed the discovery of new music and experiences. She is survived by her partner of 15 years, Lakotah Battle: mother, Carol Yniguez, brothers: Mark, Ron, Paul and Ross, sister: Katie and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda is also survived by her beloved wheaten terrier: Kingston James Hightower IV.
Dr. Linda’s celebration of life and reception will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 1-4 pm at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia Street, Whittier, CA 90601.
