Leonard Thomas Blake was born on June 8, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away after a long illness on October 31, 2021 in Whittier, CA. He was a generous and loyal friend, Patriot, World War II Merchant Marine Veteran, Policeman and a Criminal Investigator for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Leonard is survived by his wife and caregiver, Gloria Blake; daughter Julie Blake, son Michael Blake, and Grandchildren Stephanie and David Blake. He loved collecting antiques and camping. He was severely wounded in WWII aboard the Mary Ann Livermore Merchant Marine Ship, struck by a kamikaze pilot. Knowing Leonard, he would always say 'never give up'. God Bless and RIP. Services will be held at a later date at the Veterans' cemetery in Riverside, CA.
