Jung Im Yu passed away in Los Angeles, California on October 7, 2020 at the age of 78. Jung was born in Cheolla Nam Do, South Korea on October 1, 1942 to Joong Bo Yun and Ja Genn Ko. She was born into a Yang-Ban farming family and survived The Korean War along with her siblings. Jung later met her husband Dae Ha Yu near Seoul, Korea and they were married on January 4, 1968 and welcomed 3 children. They immigrated to the United States in December of 1975 and settled in Los Angeles while owning and operating their own fashion business. Jung was a loving mother, dutiful wife, formidable swimmer and devout Christian. She enjoyed swimming, gardening, poetry, pets, traveling, nature and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Jung is survived by her husband; Dae Ha Yu, children; Jae Young Yu, Kyung Sun Yu, Kyung Yea Johnson, son in law; Brian Johnson, grandchildren; Everett Johnson, Frederick Johnson and Kirby Johnson.
Jung will be laid to rest at Rose Hills Memorial Park at 11am on Monday, October 19, 2020.
