June Ellen Castello

June Ellen Castello was born January 25, 1938, in Wilmington, Delaware, to George and Hazel (Newcomb) Matthews. She passed away early Tuesday morning, November 24, 2015, at her home in Los Angeles, California.



June grew up and went to school in Wilmington, graduating from Cantwell High School. Shortly thereafter, she married the love of her life, Frank Castello. June and Frank eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, where they raised their three sons, George, Raymond and Frank, Jr.



An active member of Community Grace Brethren Church in Whittier, California, June enjoyed supporting and reporting on missionary work. She was a collector of Madame Alexander dolls and antique silver spoons, and she was an avid pen pal writer. Most of all, however, June loved her family.



She is survived by her husband, Frank; sons, George, Raymond and Frank, Jr.; and four grandchildren, Jason, Jorge, Nick, and Haley.



A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
