Joe Grubb, was a Decorated WWII Vet who served in Normandy, earning 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He was a longtime resident of East Whittier, and passed away on Dec. 5 in Hesperia, CA with his family beside him.
He was a loving husband and father and made many friends wherever he went. He was a business man and served many years in the Whittier Lions Club. A viewing will be held at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier, California on Thursday, December 11 beginning at 9:30am, followed by a Graveside service at 11:00am at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
He was a beloved husband of his wife, Lucille, for 64 years. Joe is survived by his 3 daughters; Barbara Flood and husband Mike of Hesperia, CA, Diane Grubb of Highland Park, CA, Nancy Auger and husband Thom of Medford, OR. 4 Grandchildren: Michael Flood (Esmerelda) of Oak Hills, CA, Melissa Masterjohn (Chris) of Medford, OR, Cassie Stratton of Medford, OR. And Ashley Auger of Medford, OR. 4 Great Grandchildren; Shane Flood, Brooke Flood, Matthew Masterjohn and Destiny Christlieb.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VFW or BMW deaf/blind ministry.
