John C. Grippo Jr., was born Port Chester NY on June 6, 1962, he passed away suddenly on January 13, 2020, in Whittier, California. He was 57 years of age.
John was raised in Harrison, NY and later moved to Fort Lauderdale Florida where he spent most of his life. His Italian roots lead him to his first job working at Michelina Spaghetti Sauce in Florida. His Passion for work and owning his own company led to the Vision Clean Company that he cofounded with his partner Tony. He enjoyed coaching children in soccer and T-Ball. He was a music enthusiast and played the drums like his father. He enjoyed going to church, working out and he loved bowling.
John took great pride in his work and was extremely blessed to worked for Crothall Healthcare for the past 14 Years. He worked around the country and met many friends along the way. He was currently located in California working as a Resident Regional Manager and his team won the Crothall National Safety Excellence Award in 2017. His coworkers reminisce about his ever-present smile and the warmth, depth and intelligence behind it. Most of all, they recall the sheer pleasure of his company, how good he made them feel, how free they were to be themselves around him, and how much they will miss him. His spirit and leadership skills were the glue that held them together and it will be his legacy as those who learned from him will always remember to Close the Loop.
John cared about people in the purest way. He loved them for who they were and what you were given from him, and what you saw if you were lucky enough to be his friend was a truly delightful, generous, giving, easy-going, fun-loving human being.
John had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others. The world is a lesser place without him. We are confident he is with the Lord because of the trust and faith he placed in him.
John is survived by his son Christopher (Lisa),; Mother, Patricia Montuori Clark and step father Paul Clark,; Father, John Grippo Sr.,; and his sisters, Patti Mitten (Tom), Lori Grippo-Tesoriero (Steven), Alison Rinehart (Stephen), Stephanie Ferraro (Mike) He was a beloved Uncle and will be missed dearly by his nieces and nephew: Kimberly, Kaytee, Michael, Kelly, Kristina, Ariel, Kennedy and Rylee, Mikaela John will be fondly remembered by all his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He will also be forever remembered by his best friend and companion, his dog Raven and his extended Crothall Family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life and Visitation For John will be held at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia Street, Whittier, CA 90601, Monday January 20, 2020 at 9am-Pacific Standard Time.
