Jessie Catalina Lucero



Jessie Catalina Lucero was born on August 24, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to her parents, Elfego Trujillo and Consuelo Salcido. Jessie grew up in Los Angeles, where she attended Santa Fe Elementary School and graduated from Jefferson High School in Los Angeles. On April 22, 1951, Jessie married Lloyd Virgil Lucero. Together, Lloyd and Jessie enjoyed 64 years of marriage together.



Lloyd and Jessie made their home in Los Angeles, where together they raised eight children. Jessie worked part-time in factory assembly, as a real estate appraiser, and finally as a health aide in the Whittier School District.



Jessie worked tirelessly to raise her children and care for her husband, Lloyd. She enjoyed long summers with her grandchildren, often taking them swimming and out for burgers and ice cream. Jessie showered love, laughter and kindness to family and friends who quickly became part of her family. She was a role model for all of us and we will miss her.



Jessie is survived by her husband Lloyd, her eight children Janae, Francine, Lloyd Jr., Renee Lisa, Michelle, Demerique, Michael and Roxanne, her in-law children Robert, Steve, Linda, Martine, Ray, John, Rosario and Mario 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Jessie is whole again and home. Her love for us, and our love for her, is forever.
