Lieutenant Colonel James "Jim" Lee Hall, 82, of La Habra, CA passed away peacefully on Nov. 30, 2023. . Known to all as Jim, he lived a life exemplifying the virtues of a dedicated serviceman, a devout Christian, and a loving family man.

Born on Feb. 13, 1941 in Etowah, TN, to Maurice and Marie Hall. Jim's early life as a son of a missionary traveling the world, set the stage for a distinguished 26-year career in the United States Marine Corps. His unwavering commitment to his country earned him numerous accolades, culminating in his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel. Jim's military service was a profound part of his identity and an area of immense pride.  His time as an F8 pilot were some of his fondest memories.

Jim’s second career began while he was still in the military.  His ability to connect with many people helped him develop a sucessful sales carer in material handling, that peaked with him founding and operating his own business (DME) in the 1980s.

Beyond his military and career achievements, Jim was deeply rooted in his Christian faith. This faith guided him throughout his life and was a source of strength and inspiration for those around him. He actively participated in the Church of Christ (Painter Ave, Sunny Hills & La Habra) and often volunteered in community services, impacting lives through his spiritual guidance and benevolent actions.

At the heart of Jim's world was his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sheri, for 56 years. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their mutual love, respect, and shared values. Together, they raised three sons, instilling in them the principles of honesty, bravery, and work ethic.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sheri; his sons Bill and his wife Lara, Kevin & Dan; his brother Ron and his granddaughter Grace as well as many other family members.  He was a pillar of strength and love for his family, and his absence will be profoundly felt.

Jim will be interred at the Riverside National Cemetery, where the family will hold a brief funeral service in Jim's honor on December 13th at 2:30PM. A reception and celebration of life will be planned in the new year.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory can be made to World Christian Broadcasting, an organization that his father dreamed of creating during WW2 and witnessed its first broadcast in 1980.

Jim's legacy will be carried forward not only through his commendable military service but also through the enduring love he shared with his family and his unwavering faith in God. His life was a remarkable journey of dedication, love, and faith, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
