Irene V. Campos

Irene Campos was born on April 5, 1929 to Juan and Ana Maria Velasco in Guadalajara, Mexico. She married Victor Campos on January 28, 1951 in Guadalajara. After the wedding, the couple moved to Los Angeles, then to Norwalk, and eventually took up residence in Whittier in 1960, where she lived in the same house until her death. Irene is survived by three daughters, Myrna (Salazar). Sylvia (Garciaparra), and Leticia (Nieves), and one son, Victor, as well as ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor, who died in 1992.



Irene enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers and plants. She also enjoyed going to casinos to play the slots.



Irene passed away on May 11, 2016, leaving behind those who loved her and cherish her memory.
