Helen Mary Craig was born on June 18, 1924, in Dearborn, Michigan to Stanley and Mary (Shastokovich) Shedlowsky. She passed away on December 12, 2013 in La Jolla, California, at the age of 89. She was surrounded by 23 of her family and friends.
She grew up in Silverwood and Pontiac, Michigan with her four brothers (Joe, Ed, Bill and John), and her sister (Frances). Helen moved to California in 1943 and was an extra in two movies, 'The Gangster' and 'The Big Clock'. Later she met her beloved husband, Bob, and they married in 1947. They moved to La Habra, California in 1953 and raised a family of four children.
Helen is survived by her four children, Linda, John, Mary Beth (Beethie) and Gary; 6 grandchildren and their spouses Robert (Robbie), Brendan (Bean) and Tammy, Wendy (Wenzie), Erica and Joey, Kelly and Carlos, Robert (Charlie) and 7 great-grandchildren Hayden, Jose, Kameo (Kamie), Gabriella (Gabby), Enrique, Ethan, and Jetta, her first great-great grandchild Brynley, born May 2014, and her eighth great grandchild Isabella, born August 2014. Her Bob preceeded her in death in 1981.
She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
