Guadalupe Renteria was born in Tuscon, Arizona, on April 3, 1918, to Antonio and Luisa (Rivera) Flores. She passed away on April 17, 2014 at the age of 96.
The family settled in Montebello, California, when 'Lupe' was 5 years of age. She was the oldest of the children and had the responsibility of helping raise her siblings and doing the housework at an early age.
Her work career included being a housekeeper and working at a cleaners for over 60 years.
She is survived by her children; Annie Herrera, Margaret Valdez, Ofelia Angulo, Gloria Garcia, and David Renteria. She also leaves a brother, Paul Flores and sisters, Asuncion Pasillias, Dolores Garcia, Carmen Cendejas.
She has 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
