Geraldine Lucille Ludtke Butts

Geraldine Lucille Ludtke Butts was born April 11, 1919 in Waterloo, Iowa to Charles and Sarah (Woodyard) Ludtke. She passed away March 13, 2010 in Brea, California. Mrs. Butts attended Des Moines, Iow public schools. She joined the U.S. Marines in 1939 and was discharged 33 months later as a Staff Sergeant. She came to Southern California in 1942 and began work at Pioneer- Flintkote as a payroll clerk. She was married to Edgar L. Butts in January 1947. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Whittier, California where they have continued to reside. Geraldine is survived by her husband Edgar, sons Ron (Cheryl), Gary and Terry, along with grandson Chris (Deborah). Viewing is at White-Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia Street, Whittier, CA, Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services are to be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11716 Floral Drive, Whittier, CA, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
