George-Ann was the first child born to Robert Coke Crow and Jessie Robertson Milne at home in Kirkwood, MO, June 11, 1938. During World War II, the family moved to Whittier, CA and then to Montebello, CA where she attended Washington Elementary and Montebello Junior and Senior High schools, Class of 1957. She met the love of her life, Rolland E. Alexander, II during the seventh and eighth grades at Cotillion. He graduated in 1956 from Cantwell High School and they married on Valentine's Day, 1958. George-Ann and Rolland had two children, Sharon, an award winning cake artist now living in Atlanta, GA, and a son, Rollie, an Architect in Anaheim, CA. As a child George-Ann was a member of the Brownies and Girl Scouts and later as an adult leader. She was also active in TOPS and many Auxiliaries of the California National Guard.George-Ann loved books, road-trips, cruises, the Whittier Travel Club and family get togethers'. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jessie Crow, her stepmother, Mary Crow, and her nephew, Robert Palmateer. George-Ann is survived by her sister, Roberta Daetweiler (Jack); niece, Cathryne and family; her husband of 53 years, Rolland; daughter, Sharon of Newnan, GA; and son, Rollie of Yorba Linda, CA, with wife Shari, and her adored grandchildren Alex, Kelsie and Hayden.Viewing will take place from 4-7pm on Thursday, August 16, 2012, with a Rosary to be led at 7pm, White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier. Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, August 17, 2012, St. Bruno Church, 15740 Citrustree Rd., Whittier. Interment to follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Sergeants Major Association Chaplain's Fund, 7785 La Mirada Circle, Buena Park, CA 90620.
