Fredric Swe Meise was born on October 30, 1955 in Los Angeles, California, to Frederick and Alice (Swe) Meise. He passed away on February 7, 2015, at the age of 59.
Fredric Swe Meise was born October 30, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA with an artists soul and a saints heart. He grew up happily in Whittier, CA with all the post-Howdy Doody baby boomers. He had two loving and caring older sisters who cared for him along with their Mom and Dad.
Freds college football career was cut short due to a sidelining injury, so he turned his studies to the ministry. While working a summer construction job in Pepperdine, he totaled his van coming home on the 405 freeway. This was a good reason for him to keep working and buy a new truck.
The construction work suited him after all, and he and his new bride soon moved to Upland to work for Berry Construction. Fred and Linda lived in Upland for 34 years. They were the only children his parents had living so close to home.
In 2003, his Dad came to live full time with Fred and Linda. Fred built his home to cater to his handicapped mother, but the Lord had other plans. Freds father ended up moving in, and has lived with Fred and Linda for twelve years.
Fred was heavily influenced by his artist father. He is deeply involved in helping the USO in Ontario, Ca, and for the Ministry Bibles for Marines at Camp Pendleton.
He worked long and arduous hours at his job in Ontario and will be missed by many there. He leaves behind a loving family, caring friends and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, 2pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1359 E Covina Blvd, Covina, California. Private interment will occur at a later date.
