Franklin Julius Lopez was born in Whittier California on August 16, 1944 to Frank and Julia Lopez. He was raised in Whittier and was proud Swordsman alumni of St. Paul High School, class of 62.’ In 1967 Franklin married Emma Luna and they celebrated 49 years together until the passing of his beloved wife. They raised their four children in Whittier until they retired and moved to San Luis Obispo County on the central coast of California. Franklin spent his career working in the automotive paint industry for 39 years. Franklin was known for his warm, friendly smile and compassionate heart. He enjoyed outdoor adventures, Family barbecues and taking road trips with family and friends. Franklin is survived by his daughter, Nancy Lopez-Sanchez, son Franklin D. Lopez, daughters Susan Lopez and Julie Lopez. He has five grandchildren, Adriana Lopez-Kincaid, Maressa Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Isabella Hagwood and Salena Sanchez. Two of Franklin‘s famous quotes were, “Everything is going to be just fine” and “if you are going to be a bear be a grizzly”. Franklin will always be in our hearts and truly missed.
